Amana furnace d5 error
The problem with your Amana model dehumidifier is most likely caused by one of three things.
First, there may be a clog in the water trap, also called the water filter. This needs to be cleaned out every month or so and replaced about every two years.
Second, the blower wheel may have stopped turning. If this is the case, you need to replace it.
Third, there could be an issue with your circuit board if neither of these other two causes fit your situation. In that case, you will need to replace it as well before you can operate your furnace again.
My Amana furnace has been giving me trouble for some time now. I keep getting an error code D5, but I have done all the troubleshooting I can find online and nothing seems to work.
I need to replace my furnace if I’m going to get this problem solved.
When your furnace is not working and you need to fix it ASAP, the first thing you need to do is call a professional. But what about when you want to be proactive? What are some things you can do as a DIYer before calling a professional?
– Check the thermostat display: if it is blank or red then there may be an issue with power.
– Check for water spilling from your exhaust pipe or that there is no water in your humidifier tank.
– Check the furnace filter and make sure it’s not blocked by dust, dirt, leaves or snow.
– Clean out any debris that has been collected in the bottom of the unit.
