Coleman’s diagnostic codes
Coleman’s diagnostic codes are the most common type used in the world. They are simple and easy to use, especially since they have been made digitally. The codes take the guesswork out of determining what’s wrong with your furnace.
The diagnostic codes provide a way to determine what type of problem your furnace is experiencing and the parts that need to be replaced.
Coal and gas furnaces require a special code for diagnosing or servicing them. But these codes can be found using the instructions below.

One previous owner of an older Coleman furnace told us about her experiences with her old Coleman Furnace. She had a problem with the thermostat setting not working properly because something was wrong with the furnace motor’s thermistor circuit board. She could not figure out what was going on, so she bought another Coleman model that didn’t have this issue, so she went back to the first one thinking it might be defective, but there were no Coleman diagnostic codes for this situation.
