Gmes Goodman is a company that creates and manufactures heating and cooling products. Goodman, Inc. started in 1909 as a manufacturer of cast-iron stoves for residential use. Still, the company’s production shifted to furnaces in 1936 with the invention of the Gmes-Allaire gas furnace.

Gmes-Allaire invented the first commercial cast iron furnace in 1936. The product was called “The Mighty Atom” because it could heat up a home quickly, much like an atom bomb can cause much destruction in a short period.
