Flash codes are used to diagnose a problem with the heating equipment.

The flashing code that the technician is telling you means that the furnace is “not getting enough air.” For this issue, try turning up the vent. If that doesn’t work, you should contact an HVAC technician.

The number five means the blower is malfunctioning.

Goodman furnaces can flash five times for different reasons. For example, if the blower malfunctions, it could cause a 5-flash pattern.
