Goodman furnace not kicking on
The furnace may not be getting enough air due to a clogged filter. This can cause the furnace to fail to kick on. Check for fallen leaves, dirt and other debris in the filter before replacing it.
Or
The thermostat may be set too low, or the circuit breaker may have tripped. Check and reset these before calling for service from a professional.
The Goodman furnace is a brand of HVAC equipment that is not known to be reliable.
Goodman furnaces have a history of turning off even when heating the home.
The main problem with these furnaces is that they can’t get the home to maintain an even temperature, and it is often too hot or too cold in certain areas regardless of the thermostat setting.
In some cases, these furnaces may not turn on at all when set to heat mode and will only work on other settings such as air conditioning or cool mode.
A faulty thermostat could also be the culprit, but before you buy a new one, it’s best to check that there isn’t any debris clogging up the vents that could affect airflow.

My Goodman furnace is not running. I’ve turned it on and off, but still nothing. The pilot light is lit, and the gas flows through to the burner and out of the tailpipe. There’s just no heat or flame.
The first thing to do when a furnace isn’t coming on is to check for a blown a fuse or tripped circuit breaker at the furnace itself.
If that doesn’t solve your problem, it could be caused by the following:
-Blown air blower motor (repair part needed)
-Faulty thermostat (replace part needed)
-Sensing problem with gas valve (replace gas valve)
-Flow or pressure problem in gas line(replace inlet filter)
