Lennox furnace error code h2
A Lennox furnace that displays error code H2 usually indicates a sensor problem. The sensor may not be calibrated correctly, or the probe may be dirty.
Lennox furnaces are built for various locations and climates, so it’s possible that there is a problem with the temperature readings. If you’re unsure about the reason for the error code, consult a qualified technician for repairs or replacement of your heating system.
The Lennox furnace error code H2 is the internal error code for a failed heat exchanger.
One of the most common reasons for this is a clogged heat exchanger. You can clean it yourself without calling a professional, but you will need to know how to do it.
Take a pipe cleaner and wrap it around the heating elements inside the heat exchanger, and then use an open flame to burn off any excess buildup. Do this on both sides of the heat exchanger, and then turn on your furnace to see if you have fixed the problem.
Lennox® furnaces can come with a variety of codes, but two of the most common are H1 and H2. The first is the furnace not running with enough airflow. The second is an overheated blower motor.
In both cases, there should be a simple fix for the problem that doesn’t require professional assistance. As long as the issue isn’t so bad that the furnace needs to be powered down, it should only take some time and minimal effort to get it up and to run again.
