Goodman furnace error codes
A goodman furnace error code is a four-digit code that indicates the cause of your furnace not running. All Goodman furnaces have a four-digit error code printed inside their control boards. Enter the numbers, and you can see what caused your furnace to stop running and what needs to be repaired.
This table lists the most common Goodman furnace error codes and their corresponding meanings.
Error Code: 1-Lockout or misaligned flame sensor
Description: The thermocouple has failed, or the flame sensor is dirty and needs to be cleaned.
Solution: Clean the flame sensor, and replace the thermoset if it’s not cleanable.
When the furnace is not providing adequate heat, it may be due to a software error code. To troubleshoot this, first, use the diagnostic flowchart. The diagnostic flowchart will help determine if the problem is with the controller or the relay. If your furnace appears to be functioning appropriately and you have ruled out a power outage and safety switch as potential reasons for an error code, it could be a software error.
