Heil furnaces are high-efficiency furnaces that can be used to heat homes efficiently. However, there may be some instances where the pilot light on your furnace does not ignite.

This guide will take you through the steps you’ll need to take both with and without using a Heil furnace repairman to light your pilot light the easy way.

Many people are unaware that their homes may not be as warm as they think. The Heil furnace is a high-efficiency furnace that can be used to heat homes more efficiently. However, there may be some instances where the pilot light does not ignite, and the furnace does not turn on.

The Heil furnace is one of the most popular brands for heating systems because of its efficiency, reliability, convenience and low price tags. Furnace issues are common in any brand – but luckily, these problems can usually be solved with a few simple steps that you can take yourself.

Inspection – Inspect the pilot valve and see if the flame is lit. If it’s lit, it’s not the pilot light that needs attention.

Check for gas – Check for gas flow by turning and allowing 15 minutes for gas to flow, then turn off. Turn it on again after 5 mins, then turn it off. If you hear hissing when turning on/off, there’s a good chance there is a leak in the system.

Check for fire hazards – Ensure that no combustible materials are near the furnace and perform a carbon monoxide test by running the boiler with a flue pipe disconnected from the top stack outlet to make sure there is no leakage of CO that would endanger occupants of the building

1. With the gas valve on, turn the control knob to a low position and press the reset for the ignition button.

2. If this does not work, disconnect power to the furnace and wait 30 seconds before reconnecting.
