This section will provide information about the Rama (manufactured by Amana) furnaces and their error codes.

Some of the Rama furnaces have a control board with an eight-digit display that will show a number of error codes.

The type of error code shown is based on whether there is no power to the furnace, an overheat condition, or an overcurrent condition.

The following are some of the Rama furnace error codes:

0: power off;

1A-1C: overheat;

2A-2C: overcurrent;

4A-4C: fire door open; and,

5A-5C: fan obstruction.

– E01: This error code is usually a sign that the gas valve has malfunctioned. The best way to fix this is by switching off the power, waiting for 1 minute and then switching it back on.

– E04: This error code usually occurs when there is a problem with one or more components in the combustion chamber. There’s not much that can be done about it other than calling for a service visit from your service representative.

– E05: This error code is typically caused by an electrical short circuit between one or more components in the furnace assembly. The best course of action would be to call your service.
