Vacuum furnace brands
Vacuum your furnace. Maintaining your furnace is important to ensure it’s running efficiently and safely. One task that should be on your maintenance checklist is vacuuming your furnace. Over time, dust, dirt, and debris can accumulate in your furnace, reducing its efficiency and even posing a fire hazard.
To vacuum your furnace, start by turning off the power to the unit. Then, gently remove the furnace cover and use a soft-bristled brush to loosen any dirt or debris. Next, use a vacuum with a brush attachment to remove the loosened debris. Be sure to vacuum all areas of the furnace, including the blower, burners, and heat exchanger.
Once you’ve finished vacuuming, replace the furnace cover and turn the power back on. It’s recommended to vacuum your furnace at least once a year, but if you have pets or live in a dusty area, you may need to do it more frequently. Keeping your furnace clean can improve its efficiency and extend its lifespan.
