Viessmann boiler error e3
E3 is the most common error code among viessmann boiler users. It is usually caused by a malfunction in the motor or a failure of the thermostat or water valve.
Viessmann boilers have an error code E3, which means they have experienced a problem with their internal heating system. The most common cause is when the motor overdrives and disrupts the heating system to cause that E3 error message. Other causes, such as an obstruction in the pipework, low water levels and failures of other parts, can cause E3 errors.
There are some common boiler errors which you might come across. They can be easily fixed and if your boiler is not giving you any error or warning message, check out these tips from a viessmann engineer.
Types of error codes that can occur:
– Error code E3: This is the most common code and means that there is no water in the boiler tank, and it’s impossible to generate heat or hot water.
– Error code D5: This error has a heat exchanger problem which needs to be fixed by our engineers.
– Error code F8: This error occurs because of an incorrect control valve position, which also needs to be fixed by our engineers.
– Error codes C06, C03, C01, C02, A04
Two types of boiler errors can occur – heating error and overload.
This viessmann boiler error e3 is a heating error. This error causes the burner to turn on but not fire up with the heat. In this case, there is no pressure in the system and, thus, no flame.
While these errors may be frustrating and costly for consumers, they are caused by safety systems built into the boiler. When a safety valve or an element trips or fails, it triggers the heating error alarm.
