Viessmann vitoplex 200 error codes

The heat exchanger and the water are heated with a gas burner, which is connected to an outer pipe of the heat exchanger. The flame heats the inner pipe, then heats the water. This can be done in several different ways. In some cases, only a gas burner heats a single tube. In other cases, two pipes take in the combustion gases alternately and then distribute them over two tubes (see figure 1).

One of these tubes is always cooled by water which circulates it and cools it down (refrigerant) to prevent overheating or maybe to compensate for unwanted temperature rises. Depending on how much power one needs, one of these two types will be used more often than not.

The error code messages are a series of numbers and letters that give you an idea of the problem.

According to a recent study by viessmann, 1 in 4 homeowners gets frustrated when they see a digital display on their heating system blinking.

There are three different error codes on the vitoplex 200 that can come up. They are all different because they represent a different problems and will require a different solutions to fix.

Error code 1: The heat pump is not getting enough power

Solution: Make sure the outlet has power, and restart the system by turning it off and on. If this does not work, call the service to check for problems with the outside unit or extension cord.

Error code 2: The heat pump is getting too much power

Solution: Check the power strip, plug in a new one if needed and make sure it’s on the same timer as the heat pump. If this does not work, call the service to check for problems with the outside unit or extension cord. Otherwise, contact your landlord or house owners association for assistance with your landlords.
